The level of certification in the domain of sustainable production has increased rapidly over the years, today offering a solid portfolio, covering labels such as BSCI, GOTS, SA8000 etc.
At the same time, Egypt is well connected in the region, enjoying preferential trade agreements with other African countries. Moreover, Egypt enjoys duty-free market access to US market (QEZ) and to Europe with a double transformation rule of origin. Shipping time to the European market are approximately three weeks.

The Apparel Export Council of Egypt; commonly known as AECE is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) between the Ministry of Trade and Industry and an assembly of the most prominent Textile’s exporters, responsible for the development and promotion of textile industries exports.
About AECE:
AECE is a non-profit organization established by the Ministerial Decree No.521 for the year 1997. It’s mandate is to act as an advisory board to the Minister of Trade and Industry, Policy Advocacy in which it lobbies for the welfare of the sector’s exporters, and finally to market and promote for the Egyptian Apparel exports.
Vision:
To position Egypt as an international hub for global sourcing of Apparel products and services in terms of design, quality, cost-effectiveness, vertical manufacturing, and resources utilizing Egypt’s advantageous geographical location and trade agreements.
Mission:
To become the mediator and play a pivotal role between Textile exporters and all stakeholders to develop strong ties, to foster mutual interests, create awareness on the significance of the sector, improve efficiency and effectiveness of the sector and ensure transparency with all concerned parties.
